Aye not so sure about the 3D Sonic but the 2D looks class - 1991 all over again! Hopefully will be able to play the 2D part of the game on its own as opposed to having play through all the 3D bits as well. Even the music was the same as 1991!

Just played it. Nostalgia just aint the same as the original on Mega Drive, Im all for free downloads of what is a legendary level et al, but a demo that expires after 20 days? Thats just taking hte piss.

The main reason for it being a short demo is to get feedback for the game - after all they are probably going to be charging £40 for the full game (incorporates classic and modern Sonic levels etc). Won't pay £40 for it but if it comes down around the £20 mark I might well do so - depending if the reviews are any good.

When it comes to gaming with old titles and old games, Im affraid I agree a LOT with this blog post.

I would also tend to agree with that - I still hugely enjoy playing the likes of Halo and Battlefield which constantly change things to keep them interesting and fun, but sitting down to play older games, heck even PS2 games like Timesplitters, just isn't the same - Me and Keith used to play it for hours at a time, but last time at his house, I think we played 2 games and changed it over - I guess it's all down to changing attitudes and expectations from games these days as well. Even if Timesplitters 4 came out tomorrow, there just wouldn't be that excitement and anticipation playing it because you know that in an hour you have to go to work, or do something extremely monotonous and boring. Although saying that, I will NEVER get bored of Pro Evo 6 - it was, and still is WIN.

Goldeneye still works for me, plus the final fantasies, the odd mario one, especially n64's mario kart is win.

Marion kart is win! I particularly enjoy it on my ds - has all the classic tracks in it! Somehow pokemon is still enjoyable

pokemon never got old for me, loved blue and silver, would still happily play them if I could.
