Apparently everything was protected,
There was no evidence that credit card details had been taken,
and theyre looking for who did it...... which i doubt theyll find

Also they only get 30 days of Playstation Plus for free (they failed to highlight that any games downloaded for free on it only last the 30 days unless you get a subscription), along with credit card protection. Sorry but users should be getting a LOT more than that. I got more when my Xbox red ringed for flip sake

Yeah, exactly. Handing out a free 30 day PSPlus trial will hardly cost Sony anything (except their reputation), considering many console bundles and games usually offer some form of similar trial as this. It was a very lazy way of handling the situation and PS users should be getting something a bit more substantial - 30 day trial isn't going to compensate the potential reality of stolen credit card details and money.

Im actually interested to see global sales figures for the PS3 over the past two weeks. Probably wouldn't be a sharp decline in sales, but no doubt there would be a slight dip. Was looking at the comments in that article posted, and many users appear to be fed up with Sony altogether and are willing to drop the PS3

I don't feel bad at all for Sony who are potentially losing billions of pounds in business, but more for PS3 users. I've read on a lot of sites that many have just given up on PSN and PS3 and are now forcing themselves to save up for an xbox or new PC. Bad management on Sony's part that this still hasn't been resolved

Read from some sources they could be looking at the end of the month.

Problem is, the indie developer companies are losing SHITELOADS by the minute because sony are offline, even one saying they are losing about a million $ a day due to their games being online only.

Better be some form of compensation for that, unreal like.

Aye it's the small developers who are losing out the most, many getting worryingly close to going bust from it. Activision are moaning they're losing out on money from it, but don't mention anything about the fact that COD Crap Ops is still balancing the books for them with everyone buying their ridiculously overpriced map packs. They're moaning more about the situation than any indie developer. Needs to stop.

Apparently Sony first said - "Yeah services will up by 31st May", then they said "No those stories aren't true", then they said "it'll be a couple days" which they have been saying for three weeks now! As one guy on the CVG forums pointed out, it's pretty clear who their spokesman is in all of this...

Yeah about that, playing WaW the other day multiplayer online, couldnt play half the damned maps, another tenner for them?! Fuck sake.

Yeah, it's a 3 year old game and they're still charging full whack for map packs. Activision and in particular their CEO Bobby Kotick, have become hated across the gaming scene for completely ripping off players with things like - charging £40 for a full game, then £10 a piece for map packs, usually about 3 per game. And you need them to get all features. The past year there were rumours they were gonna make Call of Duty subscription based (ala WOW) but then they said COD will always be free to play online. Now they're talking about putting micro-transactions in-game. Hateful company. Stick to Battlefield!

In fact, just type in Bobby Kotick into Google Images, and you will instantly hate him.
