LA Noire looks win.
Anyone else really interested in this game?
Trailers make it seem awesome, but I dont know about the pace of the game, and how involved you really are (as opposed to press a button when you see something interesting etc)
It does look unreal though

I'll be keeping an eye on it - reminds me of LA Confidential which is WIN. I'm hoping it doesn't end up like Heavy Rain though. Like to be more involved than that. I shall wait for the reviews to pop up ftw

Yeah its the potential to be awesome, but could also be a very expensive film you take part in. Really like how its open ended completely though.
I however dont like how Walmart are selling games with more cases in it, than any other game retailer, poor showing that.

Re: LA Noire looks win.
just watched some gameplay there.
Looks like a typical rockstar - GTA/ Red Dead Redemption - except from the lawful side for once.
http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/lanoire/video/6309334/la-noire-gameplay-series-rising-through-the-ranks
looks like the interregation bits could have heavy rain like bits.... which were sweet. but the rest of the gameplay is pretty much a sandbox.
Looks good tho, *adds to shopping list*

video reviews are out
IGN gave it 8.5, Gamespot a 9.0
also just have to lol at Carolyn the reviewer.... wtf?
Gamespot n IGN both seem to be pretty happy with it. Seems a bit different to the regular rockstar stuff.
Looks in the same line as Red Dead and GTA4, Both were pretty damn long if you didn't rush through, so shud be interesting to see how long it works out in terms of playtime.

Yeah saw those last night, Guardian gave it 5/5 as well.
Want to wait a while so I can see the lasting effect the game has as opposed to the release hype surrounding it.

What Alan said. I'll probs get it but will wait a bit until second opinions are in etc. Plus I have my eyes on getting Portal 2 once I finish my exams FTW
What's really putting me off at the moment is the idea of searching for clues etc within the houses or rooms. I know this is obviously a big selling point and is very popular with a lot of people but it's not a gameplay aspect that I really enjoy to be honest. After playing enough Monkey Island and Broken Sword, searching for clues etc that lead on to the next bit are not for me. I look the look of the world though and would probs be happy enough just driving around LA for a bit!

Hmmm does appear to be a good game then...still waiting till the price comes down, £40ish for a game is a bit steep.

Re: LA Noire looks win.
Yeah, tis steep enough. Not sure whether to go for this or Portal 2. The fact that CVG stated it was more "Heavy Rain" than "GTA" has slightly put me off it. Either way, whatever one I go for, I reckon I'll trade in Bulletstorm and maybe Black Ops against it.

Yeah was looking into Portal 2 myself but wont pay those prices. It looks good but unsure of CoOp mode...not being a people person lolz
Everyone has been ranting and raving about it mind you.

Yeah the first one is good fun, gets fairly hard later on. I'd probs only get it for single player - don't know anyone on my live who is into it. Wouldn't pay full price for it though - trade in ftw!

Re: LA Noire looks win.
no such problems with my copy
played for a good while there this afternoon with no problems. PS3 didn't struggle with it at all.
Seems a decent wee game like. Although you're a cop from the get go so it's quite a steep learrning curve.
The interrogations are goddamn hard too. Probably just take a lil bit of getting used to.
So far so good like, im just past the first 5 introductory mission things. Into the full sandbox now, so we'll see how it goes

Will do! Providing I don't find the disc! Tis a pretty small game so it will run amazingly on your laptop
