Re: ES V: Skyrim
It really is a game that you need to be playing a good chunk at a time, otherwise just playing a mission here or there will probably get old quickly and losing track of the story won't help either!

I'm off all of tomorrow so I'll likely give it a good seeing to then, though Assassin's Creed: Revelations is at my house so I need to give it a go as well. Madden might also be there and I really want to start the Madden Ultimate Team...too many games, not enough time!

Re: ES V: Skyrim
I spent an hour last night catching butterflies.
Catching pixelated graphics on a game, with the very little free time I have?!
I found this both highly enjoyable and awesome to watch on an HD screen.
What a game.
I also sauntered into a fort that was held by bandits, that was some awesome fighting, me against 6, baiting them out then going in for the kill!

I love bandits - so easy to kill! This topic actually serves well so everyone can post about anything they come across in skyrim...
Today I bought my first house in edoras...sorry I mean whiterun. But possibly the coolest part was being chased by 2, yes TWO dragons across the plains to a small village - managed to lead them to the village where after a good while me and the locals managed to take them both down. Being chased by 2 dragons - not fun

Re: ES V: Skyrim
Actually while I was playing this morning I was doing part of the main quest, where I had to give my best equipment to a guy to smuggle into a party for me. I then had to go and meet another person to get my invite to the party.
I had next to nothing in my inventory and my best armor gone to boot when, just as I was about to get on the carriage for the party, a dragon swoops down ontop of me. Worst timing I've ever seen.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
Honestly forgot I had a storyline to follow Ive been doing so sodding much!
I am the king of lock picking, sneaking into houses, robbing em blind, including via pickpocketing and selling it all on for shiteloads. I love my Elvish ways.
Spent a good 10 minutes annoying the fuck out of a clan of 4 wolves earlier too, was at the top of a ridge, then were at the rocks below, and I kept pinging them with arrows, by the time I was down to one wolf, it was pretty pist off!

Epic win! My lock picking is very good - picked a good number of expert and master locks, my sneak and pickpocket isn't great though.
Joined the dark brotherhood FTW. Also did that daedra mission where you had to beat the guy to death. It was........unsettling

There is no where more pleasant in the gaming universe than Riverwood. Still find it stunning every time Im there.
Had a barman mention the Dark Brotherhood but thats been all so far, aparently its uber stuff mind.
Need to get back into the ways of using magic, went overboard with it in Oblivion, hardly use it now for some reason.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
after 20 hours in the game, Riverwood is still my favourite place, enjoying dandering around it and the surrounding countryside. I like Whiterun too, looks like edoras from LOTR from a distance. the journey to riften is also very nice - very autumn kind of style
the dark brotherhood is win, plus u get paid a fair few bob for kills.

Pretty sure it's real. Either a complete fluke or it took him ages. Still pretty cool though

Looks pretty real to me...even if it took them 500 hours or was a complete fluke.
Still awesome mind.

Sneaky headshots with a bow and arrow. There is nothing more entertaining.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
I don't know where I have gone wrong but my interest in this game has dried up and I just can't be arsed playing it. Really looking forward to Madden (if it would hurry it's ass up) and NBA 2K12 coming as I can't seem to find the justification to propel myself through single player storylines.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
Skyrim asks for lengthy bits of time to spend on it first really, cant really jump in for 30 minutes a night, hence why I played it 90 minutes last night, but left it since last week.

I've entertained thoughts of trading it in, but keep steering myself away from that path.

Deliberately dont play it a while, then the urge will overpower you some day again.

In all seriousness, you probs will come back to it once you have a bit of time. I havent really bothered playing it much lately - working all day then going straight out after just takes it out of me, and when I get home I can't be bothered playing it. Not the game's fault though, but once I get some time I'll be straight into it. Some storylines are much better than others i.e. The Dark Brotherhood one is KING. Alan is right, best to leave it for a bit then come back to it.
