Same thing happened to me. Killed a dragon (albeit with some allies) but no joke, got shoved off the top of the 7000 Steps by a frost troll. Obviously died and had to re-climb it all again. Currently in college learning magic

Was it on the way to the Greybeards perchance? I had to bolt it past one there! Pwned my first dragon on my own - that was awesome fun!

Yea, I was pissed of that I'd gotta overlike 6700 steps and then bang dead and at the bottom again. I raged hard.

Rather excited for this game, although that said, tis good Ive enough to keep me going till then...
then I may disappear like I did when FFX was released.
380 hours later, if that game had a two player Id be world champion.

Obtained two daedric artifacts. The quest for the first one was a bit grim, I kinda felt bad about what I was doing. Read below if you want to know:
- Spoiler:
- I had to continuously beat a caged man to death, while th Daedric Lord kept resurrecting the body. Then when he had surrendered and gave his soul to the Lord, I had to finish him off. Dark stuff. Got a sick looking mace from it though.

On these games does levelling up take friggin ages? I've been playing Oblivion about 5 hours or so now and I'm still level 1!

Need to max out the stats of 3 things at once, then you rest in an inn and level up, youll get a message on screen when you can rest to level. Takes a while, but makes it more interesting.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
Yea you need 10 points in any of your major skills, then sleep to level in Oblivion. Though if you are wanting to get the most out of your levels, it is advisable to use all 5 of the training spots for all levels to train the harder to level skills.
I was level one for ages as it takes a bit of gold to train all five levels. It's worth noting that skill points you gain still go towards higher levels, even if you don't choose to level up. If you gain 100 skill points as a level 1, then sleep 10 times, you will head up to level 10.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
levelling up in skyrim is easier than oblivion - still takes long enough though - after 12 hours I'm only level 11. although to be fair I've spent a lot of time just exploring

Yea I'm level 12 or 13 and I haven't played near 12 hours yet so I think it's more about what you do. I'll explore when everything is dead!
Playing a stealth, bow ninja at the minute and I am enjoying it.

Eh? My major skills are all about 45, 40, 30 etc but still level 1. Something I'm not getting?

It seems just progressing in general ie killing, magic, storyline seem to help levelling up.
Nordish warrior FTW - no sneaking around and picking off enemies in the distance for me - just get stuck in!
Took out my first giant today - that was scary

Still haven't went after a giant after my first time whenever I ended up flying through the air.

Then I have no idea why you aren't advancing in levels. What does the level progress bar at the bottom of the stat screen look like?

Re: ES V: Skyrim
It's about 1/3 full.
Major skills are as follows
Blade 46
Blunt 29
Alchemy 30
Alteration 30
Conjuration 30
Destructio 41
Mysticism 35
Although the individual bars for all of those skills aren't very full...

Ok if that isn't full then you can't level yet. Just train up those things specifically; alchemy is a dos to do. Blade and blunt is a bad combination, because you have to change weapons to raise them.
Haha enjoy, Alan.

Re: ES V: Skyrim
Just been playing it for close to 5 hours straight first time playing.
Just wow.
Unreal game.
Cant beleive the detail thats went into it, the musical score, the ...everything!
Got about 15 quests running at hte minute (just like WoW!) and arsing about...although have been arsing about practically since it started!
Anyone else get attacked by some sexy bandits who you were only too happy to take their clothes off? In Oblivion I recall them all just being munters.
Spent ages smithing, and playing with alchemy, bloody awesome stuff.

The music in this game is so good, even when you're just running about the countryside etc. Anyone else strangely enjoy the loading screens in this?
Got initiated into the Dark Brotherhood. Epic WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

I seem to be boring of it rather quickly, though it could just be to the fact that I haven't had a decent amount of time to just sit down and straight play it; only getting half an hour here or an hour there.
